Safety Guidelines
Basics for trail walking and RC crawling at Chatelherault.
- Wear suitable footwear with good grip. The ground is frequently wet, muddy, and slippery.
- Move carefully on inclines, roots, and uneven sections. Slipping on mud is a constant issue on the trails.
- Use wooden bridges and steps where available. We are gradually adding more to improve access.
- Keep a safe distance from steep edges, water, and unstable banks.
- Do not block public paths. Give way to walkers, dogs, and other park users.
- Keep vehicles at controlled speeds near people and in tight technical sections.
- Children should remain supervised at all times during meets.
- Bring weather-appropriate clothing and be prepared for rapidly changing ground conditions.
